I just returned from a short photography trip near Page Arizona. All I can say is WOW. We hit up Valley of Fire in Nevada first, then several great photo spots in Arizona: Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and more. Jenn stayed home this trip, saving her vacation days for a longer adventure some time this summer. Who knows, after seeing my pictures we may end up back in Page!

Thanks DAnna! It really is spectacular, and so was Horseshoe Bend. I would love to go back and spend more time there…..

Great shots. I have to tell you that when I was there I simply couldn’t get myself out to the tip of the ledge like you have to go (and you went) to get the entire curve of the river in the image for Horseshoe Bend. But then again, I am quite afraid of heights…and obviously you are not :>) People don’t realize how close to the edge of the ledge you have to be to get that shot, with nothing keeping you from going over the edge, you have to be!

It is indeed a very precipitous drop off! Over 1000 feet down, and definitely not for those afraid of heights. I, fortunately am not, but I do have terrible balance so I crawled close on all fours, then bellied up to the edge. What a thrill! However, dangling my expensive camera equipment over that ledge? Now that was scary.
