June 2007

Last night our good friend Lisa waddled over with Morgan in tow for a studio shoot. We’re sure she’s in her 11th month of pregnancy (no really!), and beyond ready for baby Lashonda* to arrive. Honestly, it’s amazing what the human body can do, but seeing Lisa only days from delivery, we’re reminded once again why we only have dogs!

The photo shoot was a blast. Lisa and Morgan really worked it, with a good dose of crazy mixed in with the serious stuff. Enjoy!

*A silly nickname we gave her very early in the pregnancy…unbelievably they named her Isabelle instead!

Hi Folks,

We’re busy preparing (scrambling?) for our first art show of the season (Sunday June 3rd, Art in the Park @ Dino Caves in beautiful Shell Beach), and thought we’d share a few of the new photos we’re in the process of printing and framing. It’s amazing how quickly this season has come upon us and once again we are printing and framing right up to the time we should be loading our cars!

Hope you all have a wondermous weekend, and if you’re in the area, please stop by our booth and say hello!

Peace, Heather and Jenn (the Pixel Chix)

Heather here: Going through my photos yesterday, it’s amazing to see just how drawn I am to the amazing countryside along the Eastern Sierra’s 395 corridor. I get ‘homesick’ every time I go back through these photos looking for possible ones to process and print. A lot of our clients at the local art shows are tourists, and they want photos from around here…but I just can’t seem to get as excited about photographing along these beaches close to home (unless of course it’s surfing or kiteboarding!).
My personal goal this summer is to take a look at the gorgeous land formations and screaming oceans right in my own backyard, and truly try to SEE it as if I haven’t lived here my whole life. But that will be another blog post!
